Next weekend sees 2 events on the Cork Pipers’ Club calendar. Firstly, we are holding our club tionól on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of October. Classes are taught by the magnificent Mick O’Brien and Stephen Scales who will also be playing at our concert in the Folk Festival. Dave Hegarty is back again this year to pass on his wealth of knowledge on reed-making and care for the pipes.
Hugh and Eoin Quinn, the grandfather and grandson duo from Skibbereen, will be performing at the concert as well as Diarmaid Grainger making a welcome return.
If you are attending our Tionól you can get into the concert for half-price.
