Cork Pipers’ Club partook in the International Uilleann Piping Day last Saturday with a recital in Cork City Library. It was an informal affair with the audience chatting with Dan O’Callaghan, John Murphy, Kevin Moore and myself, Donal O Caoimh. Thank you to the audience member who obliged and took some photos for us while we played. We are also indebted to the Cork City Library staff who are always so helpful and welcoming when we play there. If you’re not a member of the library, particularly the music library, you should get in there and have a browse. You’ll soon find yourself signing up!
Some photos below and a full set on Pix.ie here, a great Irish photo-sharing site.
First, a set of tunes by Dan and John. Notice how Kevin picks up tunes so quickly that he learns the tune after listening a few times!
